What's a "cheque"?

Must be something in the air this week. I can only assume that I received this one because of a fat-finger error, given the correct recipient's email name.

Wish I actually was invited...

Sounds kind of exciting. Not sure why the restaurant (which must be next door or so) is being so difficult though.
